Communication is an integral component in the administration of any school. Without communication, time is wasted, mistakes are made and nothing goes as planned. Two-way radios are a great tool for communication and are essential in the successful running of a school. Having radios in buses provides many benefits for you:
- Keeping track of children. If a child is not where they're supposed to be, for instance if they fell asleep on the bus and missed their stop, its important that the school can be notified immediately. Two-way radios provide this instant communication.
- Reduced Risk. Two way radios are easier to use than a cell phone because they don't require the driver to take their eyes off the road, you simply press one button and talk. No dialing or searching for numbers on a cell phone. Additionally, come January 1st, 2013 it will be illegal for anyone operating a motor vehicle to use a cell phone.
- Fewer Distractions. Radios allow the driver to focus on their job more. The loud, crisp sound provided by a two-way radio can be easily heard over the noises of children in the back of the bus.
- More efficient communication. Faster, communication between bus drivers and school administrators means that both groups have more time to focus on whats important, the safety of the children they're entrusted with.
